WAQRAPUCARA TREK TOUR PROGRAM

Day 01: Cusco – Pitumarca Community – Waqrapukara

First to start with the tour to Waqrapukara, we pick you up from your hotel in our mobility, in the city of Cusco. Afterwards, we head south from Cusco along the paved road Cusco – Sicuani. However, at the point called Chuquicahuana, we divert to the province of Acomayo to a place called Pitumarca, where we will arrive in 3 hours. Likewise, here we begin the trek to the Waqrapukara campsite for 3 hours, arriving at our camp for a break. Then we will have lunch, on the way we will pass through small lagoons. Then we prepare for the ceremony, after dinner, to go to a cave or called the mouth of Waqrapukara for the ceremony, payment to the land with the help of an Andean shaman, return to spend the night.

Day 02: Waqrapukara – Pitumarca Community – Cusco

Firstly, after sunrise with a shining sun, we will have a delicious breakfast. Then we go on a guided tour of the Waqrapukara fortress, this is a mysterious construction, appreciate the main door called intipunku or cover of the sun, enclosure of the sun and the moon, Wiracocha enclosure, two towers, main square, bleachers, to the side from the fortress we will see a system of terraces, also surrounded by beautiful marine rock formations of different shapes, end of the guided tour, walk back to Pitumarca, here return by car to the city of Cusco. Finally, we will have lunch in the Sangarara town and later transfer to the city of Cusco.
